Personal Growth Journey Through the Year

Personal growth has been an important part of my life’s journey so far. It’s also going to feature prominently in the years to come. 

However, many of the books I have read, or the people I’ve followed and learned from - while brilliant! - have all somewhat burdened me with content. I felt overwhelmed by the sheer amount of things to get through in little time. 

Especially self-help books motivated me while reading, but I fell way short on acting on the suggestions. 

That’s why I developed A Year’s Journey - a personal growth journey through the year. It’s based on the seasons and the Celtic calendar that adds a bit more colour and content. 

What is Personal Growth

First of all, let’s be clear that personal growth, personal development, and self-growth are all synonymous. And all are to do with your ability to grow beyond your comfort zone. An essential ingredient of personal growth is well-being, indeed, it is also a large part of the (hoped for) outcome.

Personal growth is a process. It’s often transformative and sometimes triggered by traumatic experiences. It’s also important to know that it’s different for each person and could take any number of forms. Here are some examples: 

  • Developing a growth mindset

  • Creating positive thought patterns

  • Building resilience 

  • Setting and maintaining strong, healthy boundaries 

  • Boosting confidence 

  • Making good decisions 

  • Defining success for yourself

  • Knowing what you want 

  • Closing doors that no longer serve you

How is this journey different from others? 

This personal growth journey through the year is different from others because you receive weekly, bite-sized content to work through in your own time and space. I call these weekly units Soul Journeys.

Yes, others do the same, but here you receive content that builds upon each other. You can still start whenever you want, although I recommend starting at the beginning of a new collection. 

This is especially successful for the guided meditations for mindfulness: these hypno-therapeutic meditations often go back to places you have visited before in your mind’s eye. Sometimes you explore a new door, for example, or you stow a box in a particular location. In order for you to access the information when you need it, the meditations bring you again to those places when the time is right. 

Truth be told: I don’t like guided meditations that are not logical. I know that the trance transcends some of the content (and yes, flying through the universe isn’t that logical either!). But I need meditations to be seamless stories that don’t suddenly change location or layout of the place. That’s what I’m offering you here. 

The chance to gently transform your life, grow yourself, and explore what you want to focus on. Then begin to marvel at your power as you manifest your dreams throughout the year. Often making them much better and bolder in real life than you could have imagined.
